Either before or after the Workshop, you will have the possibility to experience the beautiful landscape, museums and historic landmarks, as well as the countless beaches of Portugal.

TA DMC offers guided tours in English for participants, students/fellow and accompanying persons, covering the most attractive sights and monuments of Lisbon and its surroundings, like Estoril and Sintra.

All tours will depart from the top of Eduardo VII park, located in the city center.

To register, please fill in the relevant section of the Registration Form. It is highly recommended to book in advance, as availability onsite will be limited.

Tour 1 - Lisbon City Tour
Description
Visiting the beautiful city of Lisbon, passing by Amoreiras; Monsanto; visiting the Royal Coaches Museum and the Church of Jerónimos Monastery (closed on Mondays) - alternative visit to Ajuda Palace; Belém Tower (stop); Monument of the Discoveries (stop); Alcântara; Praça do Comércio: House of the Pointed Stones; walking tour through the oldest quarter Alfama; Baixa; Rossio; Restauradores; Avenida da Liberdade; Marquês de Pombal.

Tour 2 - Sintra/Estoril/Cabo da Roca
Description
Beautiful ride to Sintra, passing by Queluz (visiting the National Palace, on Wednesdays). In Sintra free-time in the village's historical center, visiting the Royal Palace (closed on Wednesdays). Visiting Cabo da Roca - the most western point in continental Europe; Guincho; Boca do Inferno; Cascais a typical fishing port (stop) and cosmopolitan Estoril with the panorama of the gardens of the Casino. Back to Lisbon along the beautiful Estoril coast.

Tour 3 - Óbidos/Nazaré/Fátima
Description
Beautiful full day tour to Óbidos, a medieval village surrounded by ramparts (visit). In Alcobaça visit of the 12th century Monastery, with the tombs of Pedro and Inês. Stop at Nazaré a typical fishing village, where lunch will be served. Panoramic view from the highest point - Sitio. Visit of the monastery in Batalha, built in the 14th century in Gothic style; going on to Fátima to visit the sanctuary and attend mass. Drive back to Lisbon.

Tour 4 - Évora
Description
Drive across the world's largest cork region for an exciting journey into the past. In Évora , capital of the province of Alentejo, visit to the ruins of the Roman Temple, the Romanesque Gothic Cathedral , the Bones Chapel and the University. A walk along its streets will help you to enjoy this typical town considered World Heritage (lunch included). Driving back to Lisbon going through Setúbal , famous fishing centre (stop).

Cancellation Policy
All bookings must be fully prepaid. Requests received without payment may be not considered. Upon payment a confirmation letter/fax will be sent. Cancellations received before July 25, 2008 will be refunded after the workshop, minus € 25,00 administrative fees. After this date no refunds will be made. All approved refunds will be processed and issued until 60 days after the workshop.
