This project consists of the research, study and development of accurate and efficient techniques to allow modeling and simulation of substrate coupling effects in mixed-signal designs. The main goals of the project are thus: validation and estimation of the accuracy of currently used models; development of new efficient techniques for the extraction and generation of substrate models; study and development of algorithms that allow the coupled simulation of circuits and their substrate. The goal of the project is to develop tools that will allow the efficient extraction of highly accurate substrate coupling models and to study the possibility of including these tools or the extraction algorithm itself into a standard circuit simulator in order to enable coupled circuit-substrate simulation.
